How do a major and minor work?

Computer Forensics major, Accounting minor
If I took all my courses relating to my accounting minor and got that done in 2 years but was still enrolled for my Computer Forensics major would they give me credit for the minor before I Graduated with my Computer Forensics major. This way I could get a job working with my minor untill i graduated with my bachelors.
