Wildlife Fisheries and Parks for 3 years. I am a Certified Public Accountant and a certified peace officer, i.e. im a game warden. Is this a good enough route for an agency like the FBI, Coast Guard Investigative Service, Secret Service, U.S. Marshals, and etc. I want to be a special agent.
if not, what other steps do i need to take

I’m enrolling back in college and making a fresh start. I have narrowed my focus to be in the financial world. I’m curious about a few things. I have a friend who is attending the University of Arkansas and she’s going to be a Certified Public Accountant; she said to be a CPA in Arkansas, you need a bachelors in Accounting and Business Administration or a Masters in Accounting; though the two bachelors would take less time. I am thinking about doing that for now, but not sure what I want to do with them. I was thinking of possibly getting an MBA in Business Administration or in Accounting or Finance.

On the other hand, I was thinking of attending Rogers State University and getting a BS in Business Administration and the options would be in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Forensic Accounting, Human Resources Management, Management, Manufacturing Management, and Marketing.

Is there a more clear choice to go with on these? I’m confused. What types of jobs can be opened with these plans? I’m not committed to just any particular job, I was just wanting something in the financial industry because I think it’s exciting. Any idea of salary types these degrees bring?

P.S. Would a clear degree in Finance be a better choice than either? I’ve heard that Finance only is a bit more narrower than the above. Any help is appreciated.

I didn’t mention it, but I would also be attending U of A for the above degree and RSU below for the other. Would either school be better than the other as far as going for the degree and jobs?

What are the core skills and knowledge you hope to acquire by completing a degree in this major and how do you plan to apply these when you graduate?

The knowledge I hope to attain by completing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Florida is a complete understanding in the field of accounting. I also hope to absolutely understand how to apply this knowledge in the real world. The core skills I hope to acquire are the arts of analyzing, interpreting, and communicating financial information. While completing my studies at the University of Florida I plan to do an internship with an accounting firm in order to accumulate work experience and master my craft. After achieving my Bachelor of Science degree I hope to continue my studies at the Fisher School of Accounting and receive my Masters in Accounting. When I have completed, my studies I aspire to become a Certified Public Accountant. Following my certification as a public accountant, I hope to be hired by one of the four major accounting firms and specialize in forensic accountancy.

Please provide any other information about yourself that you feel will help this college make an admission decision. This may include work, research, volunteer activities or other experiences pertaining to the degree program.

As my academic history shows, I am extremely dedicated to my studies. In my Junior year of high school, I became a home schooled student through the Florida Virtual School program. Since starting the program in May of 2007, I have gone to school non stop. Although I received my high school education through the Florida Virtual School program, my original high school was gracious enough to let me graduate with the rest of my class. The FLVS program takes a large amount of hard work and dedication to complete because it is a self teaching system. If you are not motivated to do the work and learn, you will not pass. I think the fact that I complete high school though FLVS is a testament to how dedicated I am to learning. While completing high school through Florida Virtual School, I also participated in the dual enrollment program. Through this program I was able to graduate high school with six credit hours of college already completed. While on small breaks between semesters, I cleaned houses and pet sat as a way to gain some income and keep myself busy. I am also a note taker with the Office of Students with Disabilities. I assist a woman with a visual impairment in my Composition II class. Recently, I have become a member of Phi Theta Kappa and I am looking forward to helping my community through this organization. Getting an education is the most important thing in my life, everything else is secondary. If excepted into your institution, I would apply my entire self and work as hard as I could to live up to the prestige that surrounds the University of Florida. I sincerely thank you for reviewing and considering my application.
thank you for the help ownpool!
Thank you very much Romel!

I need someone to review my statements of intent for my college application. Here is the first one:

Here is the second one. I am unsure if I even answered this one right:

I sincerely thank you for reviewing and considering my application. Although I do not have much work experience, it is not because I am an indolent person. My parents and I decided, when I was still in high school, that it was more important for me to work hard in school alone, then to try to juggle school with a job. I am so grateful to my parents for taking care of me and allowing me to pour all of myself into my school work. Getting an education is the most important thing in my life, everything else is secondary. If excepted by your institution, I would apply my entire self and work as hard as I could to live up to the prestige that surrounds the University of Florida.

If you have any suggestions or see any spelling/grammatical errors please bring them to my attention. What should I add, what should I delete? Also, do you think I answered the second one the right way?

Thank you so much for helping!
Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately, I am extremely shy and didn’t participate in any school activities. What should I put!? Oh no.
